Regular readers will know that we have our house on the market. As such, we have been trying to streamline our house. Decluttering has proven particularly challenging in my kitchen where I probably have every kitchen gadget known to man, including my beloved KitchenAid gadgets, Magimix food processor, Panasonic bread maker and Dualit toaster. Like I said, I am a sucker for a good kitchen gadget. Therefore, I refused point blank to listen to Mr C’s pleas that we relegate them to the cupboard under the stairs. After much negotiating I agreed to remove our microwave. This was possibly a stupid move on my part as I didn’t realise how much I use the microwave. However, there is logic to my madness because I have been told that I can get a new microwave when we move house and the combination microwave oven by Panasonic is the microwave of my dreams.
The Great Travelling Microwave
At the moment we have a rather cumbersome microwave. It is third hand and at least ten years old. My Nan first purchased the microwave and enlisted the help of a young man to help her get the microwave into her taxi. Then when she got out of her taxi, after the taxi driver had carefully deposited my Nan and her microwave on the kerb outside of her bungalow, she realised that she couldn’t lift the microwave to get into her house. Being the resourceful lady that she is she proceeded to roll it and kick it down her driveway. Now my Nan also loves her gadgets and she quickly realised that she wanted to replace the microwave she had bought for a new-fangled and less heavy combination one. Therefore, the microwave was promptly passed onto my Mum in time for her birthday. My Mum, as you can imagine, was thrilled to receive a second-hand microwave for her birthday, especially as she didn’t need one.
However, my Mum hung onto the microwave. Then came the day when I realised we would be moving to Jersey. In our old house we had an in-built microwave. Now the problem with having an in-built microwave is that you can’t take it with you! I heavily relied on our microwave for warming up Oldest’s milk and heating meals etc. Luckily, my Mum came to the rescue and I was passed on the microwave. The microwave has survived rolling down a drive, crossing the sea and a subsequent two more house moves. However, it has definitely seen better days. Therefore, we have relegated the microwave to under the stairs. For now! I am really missing having the ease and convenience of one. When I forget to drink a cup of tea, I can’t reheat it now, I have to pour it away. If Youngest refuses to eat a meal that I have lovingly prepared, I can’t quickly heat up another meal for her as the microwave has gone!
Combination Microwave Oven By Panasonic
Therefore, I have been easing my microwave woes by perusing Panasonic’s website. I would love a shiny new microwave, with no dents on the side from being rolled up a drive! I have mentioned before that I am a fan of the Panasonic brand. I have their headphones which I use for running and I love them. I also have their bread maker, which has saved me a fortune on shop bought bread. Panasonic, in my experience makes well made products that last! Therefore, I am looking at their Panasonic Combination Microwaves.
What is the Combination Microwave Oven By Panasonic?
You name it and the Panasonic Combination Microwave Oven will probably be able to do it. I half expect it to be able to fly a space-ship. Their latest combination microwave – NN-CF853WBPQ is super advanced. However, it isn’t cheap at £439.99 but that’s because it’s more than just a bog standard microwave. It is a lot of bang for your buck! It is their most advanced microwave yet with its combining convection, microwave power, grill and defrost and it has a new turbo cook feature. I like the sound of turbo! I can’t afford a turbo car so let’s settle for a turbo microwave instead 😉
What Is Clever About The Panasonic Combination Microwave Oven?
What I find really clever is the fact that the microwave has a built in sensor which means that it can automatically select the optimum cooking time! For someone who is terrible at working out how long to cook something in the microwave this is the stuff of microwaving dreams. The new 8 series microwave also offers 25% more cooking space because it has a two level cooking design.
It Cleans So You Don’t Have To!
Now I have to admit that I am a bit slovenly when it comes to cleaning my microwave and oven. I mean out of sight behind the door means out of mind. Right? It’s just such a yucky job and I’m not proud of myself when I say that the interior of my microwave probably requires a chisel to remove some of the baked on food. Well cleaning would not be a problem with the Panasonic Combination Microwave! Yes! It uses self-cleaning plates for the top and back surfaces which means that there is no build-up of food. I might have to marry the microwave.
Does It Look The Part Though?
As you know, I am a sucker for sleek and stylish kitchen gadgets and the combination microwave oven by Panasonic does not disappoint. It is super sleek and dare I say it, a little bit sexy too! It features an advanced new electrostatic touch panel interface. In short, it’s as easy to use as your smartphone. You can be whipping up gourmet meals with just a swipe and a touch. It also has a snazzy LED display. It is all very high tech with the luxurious door that features a “one sheet of glass design”. Again Panasonic have been very clever here as that door means that the oven interior is wider and easier to use.
Great For Families
This is perfect for large families because convection cooking lets you cook on two levels simultaneously. It has a fan that circulates heat evenly. It is ideal for getting your Sunday roasts done and would be really handy at Christmas when you don’t have enough room in your conventional oven. Also, thanks to the new flatbed design it means that there is enough space to cook for the whole family at once as it has a 25% larger cooking area compared to your standard turntable microwaves.
I’m In Love
Yes, I have fallen in love with the new combination microwave oven by Panasonic. It is the turbo gadget of my dreams; easy on the eye and a life-saver in the kitchen. Now I just need to sell this house so I can buy it. Or perhaps it would make a great birthday gift this October. Hint, hint Mr C.
