  • I appear to be having a midlife crisis. Some people buy a motorbike. Some people decide that they want to get in shape. Some people take on a toy boy. Me? I'm dreaming of a.....cordless vacuum🙄. The Dyson V10 to be precise. I've even asked if I can have it for my birthday next month 🤩(before you ask, a lady never reveals her age 😉 21 again, always 21). What's wrong with me? Have I finally lost the plot? Can anyone recommend a good cordless vacuum that isn't a Dyson? I'm off to watch more YouTube videos on speed cleaning.   • Where is the time going? These two started their new school last week and they have been amazing. I was feeling a wee bit anxious and I was worried about how Oldest would find it. I didn't need to worry. They both took it all in their stride and have been so laid back about it all. I could learn a lot from them 🤣. In other news I've been struggling a little with overwhelm (link in profile) but I think I've finally found a new routine that is working better! The shorter school commute is also helping, I've gained at least an extra hour to do my work in - whoop!   • Last week we caught the ferry to France. We are only 39 miles off the coast of France so it's a nice short crossing. However, it always feels a bit of a gamble as the ferries seem to be frequently delayed or cancelled.😱 We then drove for 4 hours to Paris. This was a slightly hairy experience. We drove through torrential rain all the way and as a result we couldn't see very much due to the rain and spray from the road. Driving through Paris was also an experience. 🤣 Thank goodness Mr C was the designated driver. When we finally arrived at Disney Land Paris the rain cleared and these two were so excited. Their faces meant that we soon forgot about the stressful car journey😍. I might have been a little bit excited too. I don't think Youngest stopped squealing with excitement for the whole weekend. That could also be down to the sugary treats she filled up on at every opportunity 😬 Healthy eating wasn't a feature of this holiday but it was a once in a lifetime thing so.... In other news - today Youngest manged to kick her foot through my candle lantern. She was practising her karate moves. Thankfully her foot was okay, my lamp wasn't.   • We have packed away our Mickey Mouse ears and we are now making our way back home. It's been a magical (but also very tiring) couple of days. The children didn't want to leave (I suspect Mr C didn't want to either) and they have been living their best life. I didn't realise what thrill seekers the girls were. They don't get it from me. The Tower of Terror lived up to its name 🤢 and I nearly lost my glasses on the Crush Coaster.🤓 On the photos I'm always the one with my head down or eyes closed 🙈. There were so many amazing moments and we are coming away with lots of lovely memories.
