A Bedroom Moodboard/Wish List

I’ve been collating my ideas for my bedroom design. If you remember I wrote about wanting to have a bedroom that was very scandinavian in its style. You can read that post here.

Feature wall

I am very keen on having a feature wall behind the bed and I’m love with the Farrow and Ball colour Brassica which you can see above (middle). This is what would tie the whole scheme together. I love the Brassica colour because I think it will appeal to both Mr C and I as it has a feminine feel with a masculine edge. It will also give the room a sophisticated feel whilst adding some warmth to the design.

Rocking Chair from Wayfair (top left)

I love this modern rocking chair and think it will complement the feature wall brilliantly. It will also be nice to have somewhere to read my book before bed. I will have to wait though as it is out of stock at the moment.

Faux Sheepskin Hide Rug £24.50 from BHS (top middle)

This will be the perfect compliment to the chair, giving the chair a more luxurious feel and adding textures to the room to make it feel more cosy. The grey also works really well with the feature wall.

Heart Art Work - Beat that my heart skipped £65 Not on the High Street (top right)

This will look perfect on the feature wall adding romance to the bedroom and bringing in the monochrome feel that I also like.

Duvet Set - Cotton and Co Davenport Taupe Bedding Set from BHS (bottom right)

This 100% cotton bedset will bring real luxury to the bedroom. This will gorgeous to sleep on. It is out of stock so I will be keeping my eyes peeled for when it is back in stock.

Dark Grey Waffle Fleece throw £20 from BHS (bottom left)

This will look lovely over the end of the bed and the colour ties in beautifully with the feature wall. The throw is lovely and soft and will be lovely to snuggle under if I want to read a book before I go to bed. Also I will be able to use it if I want to sit outside on our balcony. I will be able to wrap it round my shoulders whilst I enjoy a cuppa under the stars.

What do you think of my bedroom wish list? The stuff of dreams?

  1. What a fantastic choice of items! The Farrow & Ball colour is gorgeous, it’s definitely a shade that would appeal to male and females. I’m a big fan of BHS and we’ve purchased a few of our interior items from there (great prices) and I love the rug you’ve chosen.

Looking forward to seeing the final result.

Thanks for linking up with the February #TheWishlistLinky

  2. What a great moodboard! I love rooms with a scandanavian look and feel, they always feel so bright and airy. You’ve got some lovely pieces here, I hope you manage to get some or all of them. Would be great to see a follow up/reveal if you do get to do it :-) Thanks for linking up to #MarvMondays. Emily
