Have yourself a Joseph Joseph Christmas

I was delighted when Joseph Joseph contacted me asking if I would like to review one of their products. I like to think that I am a bit of a culinary whizz and my family humour me and pretend that I am. I love baking and cooking yummy, comforting meals for friends and family. Not that I need an excuse but Christmas is the perfect excuse to force-feed even more people. My record for baking has to be about three years ago when I made no less than four different types of Christmas cakes and two Christmas puddings. I also made Yule Log, biscuits, mince pies and lots of other cakes. That year we were still munching our way through the Christmas goodies in February.

I haven’t always been so comfortable in the kitchen though! In our first year of marriage I had one wooden chopping board, ONE! That year the mother-in-law kindly introduced me to Joseph Joseph. Clearly fearing that I was going to kill Mr C with some sort of cross contamination on the board, she bought me some Joseph Joseph chopping boards. This was a very wise move on the mother-in-law’s part and probably saved me from poisoning my whole family that Christmas. It was the first time that I ever hosted Christmas. Those boards probably did save me and I had them for many, many years until we moved to Jersey and I somehow misplaced them in the move. Therefore, I was delighted when Joseph Joseph contacted me and asked if I would like to review one of their products. I immediately jumped at the chance for some new chopping boards.

I am a big fan of everything Joseph Joseph and have many of their products in my kitchen. In fact I should have a sign on my kitchen door - “sponsored by Joseph Joseph” but I refuse to stop buying their products. I love their bright and bold design. They are just what we need to help us get through Christmas (alive) and they make perfect gifts to give.

These chopping boards are so stylish that you will want them on your kitchen work surface pride of place. Before my chopping boards arrived I was always rootling around in the kitchen trying to find a chopping board. In my kitchen they always seem to take root in the pan drawer and then I end up having to empty the drawer to find the chopping board. That’s why I love the Joseph Joseph chopping boards because they are designed to sit on your kitchen worktop and therefore you always know where they are. Unlike my other chopping boards I know that these won’t discolour too so they will always look lovely. The chopping boards look very elegant in their fingerprint proof case. Fingerprint proof is very important when you have a threenager who likes to put her finger prints everywhere. I only wish that my walls were fingerprint proof too.

If you are hosting Christmas this year then you need these chopping boards. You will not have to worry about cross contamination when you have these lovely boards. Each board has different colour corners and an index style tab which tells you what type of foods go on what board - raw meat, fish, vegetables and cooked food.

There is no need to mix your raw turkey with your brussel sprouts and risk your family getting ill. They are also very practical to use. Each chopping board has non-slip feet and the edges of the boards are sloped to catch any stray juices.
