New Skinny Jeans

So it happened. My favourite pair of skinny jeans were finally relegated to the bin. I’ve had a hole that has gradually been growing every time I wore them but finally the hole won, aided I’m sure, by my thunder thighs. But to me jeans are the ultimate Mummy uniform. I live in them! So I have been on the hunt for a new pair of jeans.

The reason I wear swear by skinny jeans is that I find them flattering. For years I used to wear baggy jeans but looking back I realise that they made me look bigger. I treat my jeans as the foundation of my wardrobe. I wear them nearly everyday and therefore I will spend a bit more on my jeans to ensure that they keep their shape and last longer. Here my top three jeans that I am considering at the moment;

G-star Jeans

New Ford G Star Jeans

My last pair of jeans were G star and they lasted a good three years before they gave up so I see them as my trusted faithfuls when it comes to jeans. I don’t think that you can go wrong with a pair of G Star jeans and these really tick all the boxes. In soft medium denim this will be comfortable to wear. A modern take on a 5 pocket classic also makes this a stylish addition to your wardrobe.

Price £55 (in sale reduced from £110)

Tommy Hilfiger

These Tommy Hilfiger jeans are a flattering shade of blue. Made from slightly stretchy denim this ensures a comfortable wear whilst fitting like a glove.

Price £85.00

Whilst my other jean choices were low rise this pair is a flattering mid rise. Featuring the 5 classic pocket design these jeans are stylish and flattering.

Which pair would you choose?

  1. I need new skinnies but being 5’3″ and a lover of flats struggle to find them in the right length. I love G-Star but always end up with New Look which seem to fit perfectly, and because they’re such a bargain I can justify buying more than one pair! :)
