Grey Fashion

Grey is hot news right now. I mean check out Zayne Malik’s hair for starters! As we all know I love a bit of grey when it comes to home decor but I don’t really own anything grey. I’ve always thought that grey clothes were a bit boring. However, with a possible trip to Norway looming I have become obsessed with Norweigan fashion and grey is big over there too and boy do they pull it off looking stylish and effortlesly put together. I’ve been collecting looks on my pinterest board, which you can find here and I’ve come up with three friendly ways to wear grey that will have you looking very chic.

Look 1 The White Company

If you want to wear grey but are unsure about it then you can’t go wrong with this coat from White Company. This is such a timeless classic trench coat that it would be money well spent. A flattering cut makes it a stylish staple that every wardrobe should have. Dress it down with jeans for the weekend or it would equally work as a smart work coat. I would wear this and imagine that I am a detective in a crime drama. No, I’m not thinking Columbo, instead imagine a glamorous detective in a dark, gritty nordic noir.

Look 2 Whistles

This dress is in the softest pale grey and therefore it is a dress that is very easy to wear. It’s asymetric design adds interest, giving it a very modern look. This is a flattering dress that can give you a funky professional look for work or dress it up with a pair of heels and a handbag for a night out.

Look 3 Marks and Spencers

Make this polo neck a home in your wardrobe. This ribbed polo neck will become a must have staple. Super versatile you can wear it with jeans or skirts, dressing it up or down. I love a good polo neck as I think they are really easy to wear and they can hide a multitude of sins.

Price £22.50

So what do you think? Are these looks enough to bring out your grey-garious side?

  1. Love this post! I’m starting to think about my post-baby wardrobe (I’m done having kids and I think my clothes need an overhaul) and I really like the idea of building it around grey, navy and white, with pops of colour to keep things interesting.

  2. I love grey, it has to be just the right shade for me or I look washed out. I LOVE the Whistles dress, beautiful, simple, elegant and interesting. #FashionFriday
